• Abbot ABBAN of Moyarney, County Wexford (6th c.) a nephew of St Kevin, he founded many monasteries, mostly in the south of Ireland. His name is closely connected with Magh-Armuidhe or Adamstown in Wexford
An abbot who has been confused with Abban of Killabbban in Laois and whose feast-day is on March 16. They may have been the same individual, but there is no certainty either way. Tradition would suggest that there were two Abbans, while holding that there was only one; but if so he must have been singularly long-lived for he died in 630, yet is reputed to have preached before the coming of Patrick (432). It is probable that there were two Abbans, to-day's being the latter. He was of royal blood and, indeed, was imprisoned by his father because he chose the Church rather than the local kingship. He is invoked against shipwreck.

Disciple of Saint Pachomius of Tabenna for 23 years. Lived 17 years as a cave hermit. His nicknames the poor and the child refer to his simple life and simple faith.
• Uncovering of the relics (1539) of Rightbelieving Holy Nobleborn ANDREW 安德列 Prince of Smolensk and Pereyaslavl (1390)
The holy nobleborn Prince Andrei was son of the Smolensk prince Feodor Fominsky. While still in his youthful years he was grieved by the disputes of his brothers, and he left his native city going as a simple wanderer to Pereslavl' Zalessk. In humility and meekness he spent thirty years as church warden at the church of Saint Nicholas, also nearby which he is buried. After his death they discovered an heirloom princely ring, a gold chain and an inscription with the words: "I am Andrei, one of the Smolensk princes".

Christian King in Ethiopia in the early 6th century. With the support of Byzantine emperors Justin I and Justinian, he invaded the southern Arabian peninsula where Christian was under attack. Late in life he abdicated his throne to live as a prayerful, penitent hermit and then a monk in Jerusalem.

• Abbot OTTERAN (Odrian, Odhran, Oran) of Iona (563) an Abbot of Meath in Ireland, he went to Scotland with St Columba and was the first to repose on Iona. His feast is kept in Ireland and he is the main patron of Waterford
Abbot at Meath, Ireland. Early bishop of Waterford, Ireland. Friend of Saint Columba and travelled with him to Scotland to become a monk at Iona Abbey.

Ἡ Ἁγία Πρόκλα σύζυγος τοῦ Πιλάτου
According to Matthew 27:19, she sent a message to her husband asking him not to condemn Jesus Christ to death:
While Pilate was sitting in the judgment hall, his wife sent him a message: "Have nothing to do with that innocent man, because in a dream last night, I suffered much on account of him."

Διήγηση γιὰ τοὺς Ἴβηρες
The following narration of the conversion of the Iberians by a woman, not named in the account but popularly known by the name of Nina, in 332 A.D. was given by Theodoret in his Ecclesiastical History (Bk. 1, Chs. 23,24), and placed for commemoration by St Nikodemos the Hagiorite on October 27th. Below is the account of Theodoret, together with the Verse of Praise by St Nikodemos.
