He may be identical with Saint Movean (Biteus), who was a disciple of St Patrick.

St Joseph was a Jew, who belonged to the Biblical school of Tiberias, one of several established by the Jews following the destruction of the Temple. The one at Tiberias produced Massoretic doctors, who are famous for the invention of the vowel points to preserve the pronunciation of written Hebrew. After prolonged interior resistance, he became a Christian and was much favored by Emperor Constantine, who bestowed on him the title of comes (count). He devoted himself to building churches and spreading the Gospel in the Holy Land. He hosted St Eusebius of Vercelli, St Epiphanius, and others.

Ὁ Ἅγιος Φωκᾶς ὁ Μάρτυρας
The Transfer of the Relics of the Priest-Martyr Phokas from Sinope to Constantinople occurred on 22 July in either the year 403 or 404. The account about him is located under 22 September.

St Syntyche was a fellow-worker of St Paul in spreading the Gospel. She is mentioned by St Paul (Philippians 4:2-3) as being a female member of the Church at Philippi and one of those "whose names are in the book of life".
• Neomartyr THEOPHILUS in Cyprus
Theophilus, an officer of the imperial forces, was captured by the invading Saracens at Cyprus when he was stationed there. As admiral of the Christian fleet, he refused to flee when the battle went against him. After a year's imprisonment, he was martyred for refusing to deny his faith.
• WANDRILLE (Wandregisilus, Vandrille) 万德瑞吉西洛 Abbot of Fontenelles, in Normandy (600-668) of Caux
Member of the court of King Dagobert I. Married. Pilgrim to Rome, Italy, his wife became a nun and Wandrille became a monk at Montfaucon, Switzerland. Spiritual student of St Balderic. Hermit at Saint-Ursanne, Jura, France. Monk in Bobbio, Italy. Priest, ordained by St Ouen of Rouen. Founded the Abbey of Fontenelle in Normandy, France in 657.
